The servers on which LIEVT.ORG runs will be going down for maintenance over the night of Nov. 30th. The site may be unavailable for large portions of that weekend. LIEVT.ORG email will also be down.

The regular meeting of the Long Island Emergency Vehicle Technicians was held on Thursday, November 15 at the Bay Shore Fire Department. Fifty members were in attendance and all enjoyed an excellent dinner – the LIEVT chefs’ hats were presented to the hosts.

President Steve Velazquez opened the meeting with a pledge to the flag. He expressed his interest in drawing from the membership talent to provide training and classes for the group. He asked any member who was interested to contact him and discuss their area of expertise. Steve also talked about membership cards, shirts and jackets and asked Nate Berry to make several versions of the LIEVT logo available for review by the members. Paul Sailon, the treasurer, gave his report and reminded the members that some dues were long overdue.

As mentioned at the meeting, Tommy of Hendrickson\'s mother Patricia Probst recently passed away. Kit asked me to post this information for those who wish to know: She will be waked at Maloney\'s Funeral Home on Wheeler Rd. Sunday, at 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral is Monday at 11:00am at St. Thomas Moore. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the Hendrickson family on their loss.
