Minutes of the June 2024 Meeting
The Annual Bar-B-Q meeting was held at the Wantagh Fire District on June 27. The membership chowed down on Cheeseburgers, Hot Dogs, Sausage, and Salad expertly cooked by the Chefs of Wantagh. The meeting was called to order by Vice President Brendan DeGraff at 19:25 hours with a salute to the flag followed by a moment of silence with 25 members present.

At this time we broke out Birthday cake and flowers in honor of Barbara's recent 29th birthday.

The Association presented Tarren Kears with a plaque and gift card for his time spent as Vice President.

Brief discussion on the membership choosing a few GM classes to be scheduled in the early fall.

We also discussed our need for the Membership to step up and get the Association FireHouses for meetings and classes.

The evening training was provided by Gary Handwerk of Trident Emergency Products. Gary explained the operation of their air powered pump primer as well as the system requirements, maintenance and repair. Four lucky members went home with a Primer rebuild kit generously supplied by Trident. We also discussed Tridents intake relief valves and pump thermal protection. We thank Gary for traveling to Long Island and providing a very informative evening.

The meeting adjourned at 21:00 hours.
