Meeting Reports Minutes of the May 2024 Meeting
This month's meeting was held at the Selden Fire Headquarters on Thursday May 30. The meeting was called to order by President Manetta at 20:10 hours with a salute to the flag followed by a moment of silence with 25 members present. A delicious meal was prepared and served to us by members of the Selden FD.

I informed the membership that the Fire Truck Training Conference registration is now open and it appears that classes are filling quickly.

We reminded the members that Eagle Auto and more specifically Gina Mitchell is an excellent asset for parts purchasing that is not only convenient but will save you money as well. Gina as well as Michael Migliore the Parts Department Manager were both in attendance and mentioned that more parts have been added to the list with deeper discounts. They also provided a list of available classes that we need to decide on for training to take place in the fall for the membership to choose and or comment on.

Nate Berry of Fire Research Corp joined us this month and explained that there is a possibility that we will need to make some changes to our current web site. The site runs on his personal server but the Domain name is currently held by FRC. With recent ownership changes at Fire Research the Association may need to take over the domain. Nate will keep us informed.

The evening's training was presented by our own Paul Sailon of Sailon Auto Electric. In Barbara's absence Paul reminded us of some of the many things that she does for us both in front and behind the scenes!! He then provided us with an interactive discussion on fundamental DC electric, positive and negative circuits as well as starter and alternator diagnostics.

The meeting adjourned at 21:15 hours.
