Minutes of the June 2025 Meeting

This month's meeting was held at the Westbury Fire Department Shop Facility on June 18. The meeting was called to order by President Manetta at 19:58 hours with a salute to the flag followed by a moment of silence with 32 members present. We were treated to a Firehouse made Bar-B-Q that was delicious!!

Jeff Gaskin reported that he has e-mailed Kevin Roberts of the EVT Commission and is waiting on answers to some of the questions discussed at our last meeting. The hope is we will be able to put together a class in September or October.

Barbara reported on the FAMA Fire Apparatus Design Symposium to be held in Orlando Fl October 21-24. She has fliers available if anyone would like additional information.

Gina Mitchell reported that Eagle Chevrolet will be hosting a class on GM protocols for body repair, all are welcome. Reach out to Gina for additional info.

This year's Fire Truck Training Conference (REV/Spartan) will be held September 21-26 at the Lansing Center in Lansing Mi. This event was attended by a few of our members last year and all reported it to be an excellent training opportunity.

Barbara reported that we currently have 88 dues paying members.

We discussed the possible purchase of jackets to commemorate our 40th year. Barbara will bring some samples to the next meeting so that we can move forward.

The evening's class was given by Will Murphy, Diagnostic Factory Rep from Snap On Tools, he discussed the features and benefits of their latest scan tools.
