Minutes of the May 2023 Meeting

The May meeting was held at the Oceanside Vehicle Maintenance Facility on Thursday May 25. The meeting was called to order at 19:58 hours by President Manetta with a pledge to the flag followed by a moment of silence with 23 members present.

Dinner was served by members of the Oceanside FD.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

As always we started with a reminder to sign the attendance sheet followed by a discussion about members getting their dues paid.

Barbara spoke about upcoming training, suspension; Cummins, Meritor, and Spartan were discussed. Robert Laino (Oceanside) will get information about an AC class and Anthony Rizzo (Jericho) will speak to Ford.

Our Own Jeff Gaskin of Big Red Trucks led a Roundtable that started out about Electric Fire Trucks and then went in many different directions. It turned out to be a very interesting evening with a lot of member feedback.

The meeting adjourned at 21:15 hours.
