Google Map to Hauppauge FD SPEAKER: JIM COTTRELL whom we know from NATIONAL FOAM and TASK FORCE TIPS speaks to Emergency Vehicle Technicians nationally on FOAM SYSTEM PROBLEMS including storage, contamination, plumbing and misproportioning . He will also give an overview of NFPA’s NEW REQUIREMENT for ANNUAL FOAM SYSTEM CERTIFICATION. He will talk about why first responders should now be using ALCOHOL RESISTANT FOAMS rather than basic AFF.

• EVT Preparation, Registration and Test - Chris Lo Preto, our member who moonlights as a college instructor, is getting squared away in his new surroundings. He reports that he is making arrangements for the next classes and test in January. Refer to www.lievt.org – the information will be posted as soon as it is available.
• NEW YORK STATE FIRE DISTRICTS Show – ELLENVILLE, NY – November 5 – 7, 2009

Thanks to all at the Wantagh Fire District for their hospitality in March. The comments were excellent. Everyone enjoyed the dinner and the hands on working pump Peter Guinchini and Frank Baer brought from New Jersey. Pictures from the meeting can viewed here.
